SOMMERMUSIK FÜR VIOLINDUO

"Sommermusik für Violinduo" (Summer music for violin duo) is an online installation and experimental music composition in which both violin voices are interpreted by the Mexican avant-garde violinist Dirén Checa. Sommermusik für Violinduo is inspired by what summer feels like in New York City and Mexico City. This installation was made for the existence of it, and it's a piece that goes somewhere, but it's in no rush to become something. It's a body to a feeling. A sweaty, hot, emotionally incongruent, sexy, but not really sexy body. It's a vehement dissonant yet harmonious body with an #FFFFFF mind and CMYK-filled brain.

¡Hola! I’m Borja Del Rio W, born in Mexico City and based in New York. It’s in everything & anything in which I find inspiration. I like to twist and weave, occasionally, giving it an order. I fuck with all mediums and exploring the limitless life of each one of them. The multidisciplinary play with film, photo, music, painting, and performance has led me to different approaches of artistic expression. Xoxoxo

Dirén Checa - violinist (check her out! She's one of Mexico's most talented experimental, classical, and avant-garde violinists).
