I’m Lucia Auerbach, a NYC-based essayist. My work focuses on trying to connect our real, tangible memories and lives to concepts bigger than ourselves. I am an English and Art History student at Columbia University focusing on the intersection of 20th-century creative non-fiction and contemporary art. For the past four years I have run a magazine called SILLY GAL for artists that identify as female, focusing on providing a platform for younger artists to be published. SILLY GAL has taught me so much about the importance of independent publishers and how critical it is for young artists and writers alike to have the opportunity to get their work out there.
