Spanish: Hola!
English: Hey! My name is María Mas but people call me Mery. I’m from Valencia, Spain, and after living in Ireland and Denmark, I now have found my home in Brooklyn, New York. As a production director, I've had the privilege of working on media and events internationally, collaborating with some incredibly talented artists as well as companies I deeply admire. This journey led me to start developing my own creative projects. These photographs capture the behind-the-scenes of my very first fashion production. The project was born from a desire to democratize fashion shows, making them accessible to the public with affordable tickets. I brought together six innovative designers and four talented photographers, all from diverse backgrounds, to create an event centered around a fashion show, that also featured a photography exhibition and a networking space for creatives. What truly inspires me in show production is the passion, creativity, intention, and deep respect for the craft that can go into it. These are such intense and complex projects. Witnessing and feeling that energy, is something I only ever experienced in fashion and theatre. It’s definitely what I keep chasing and what keeps me pushing boundaries in my work.
